Kevin G. Summers was born in Washington, D.C. in 1974 and grew up in the Northern Virginia area. He grew up surrounded by an immense library and it was there that he developed an appreciation for literature.

Kevin began writing his own comic books and short stories at a young age, and all that practice eventually paid off. In 2001, Kevin made his first professional sale to the good folks at Pocket Books.

Kevin is the author of several stories set in the Star Trek universe: "Ha'mara" (Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Prophecy and Change), "Morning Bells Are Ringing" (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 08), and the critically acclaimed "Isolation Ward 4" (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds IV), as well as original fiction: "A Heart Is Judged" (Shadows of the Emerald City), "The Paladin" (Lords of Justice) and “His Soul Goes Marching On” (Tales of Moreauvia).

Kevin is the editor of Submarine Telecoms Forum, an electronic magazine, RSS Feed and podcast dedicated to the submarine cable industry. He also teaches writing at the Northern Virginia Community College.

Outside of writing, Kevin’s interests include lots of reading, collecting comic books, theatre, and listening to Johnny Cash. He is a regular volunteer at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and Claude Moore Colonial Farm.

Kevin lives in an 100-year old farmhouse in Amissville, Virginia with his beautiful wife Rachel, their daughters Morwen and Ingrid, a dog named Fistandantilus and a raven named Abra.
